Traveler's - the "Everything India" store on 501 E Pine, has started serving veggie/vegan Indian food on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
All the reviews I've heard are that the food is awesome.

We've had several of the menu items to date - and the food is bloody good. If you like traditional indian food and not the crap they seem to sell in every indian restaurant in town (chicken tikka marsala) then this place is your dream and so are the prices.
Serving food between 1and 7pm on fridays saturdays and sundays, order a full Thali for $10 which gives you an array of traditional indian dishes and dessert. But even the non Indian food is amazing - I just had the quiche ($3.50) and I do have to say it was the best quiche I ever had.
    Allen is an amazing chef.

I just had lunch at Chutney's Grill on the Hill, at 15th and Mercer, and while it may not be the absolute best in town, it sure is good and satisfying.

And, their six-star heat-meter? Oh. Six means six. Yowza.
